Rochfortbridge notes

Last week`s jackpot was €12,200.  There was no jackpot winner. Numbers drawn were 7, 8, 16 and 20. There were six match three winners - Victoria Usher, May O`Brien, Marie Bagnall, Bridie McCormack, Martin Geraghty and Margaret Smyth.

Each receive €50.00. This week`s jackpot will be €12,400 and the draw will take place on Friday night.

Tom Morgan will be on the starting line for the full marathon staring at 9:30. Tom is going for is 98th marathon on the day.  Tom was out of training for 4 weeks with flu but is back in training for few weeks hoping to finish the marathon.  Also hoping the day will be fine as Connemara is a lovely place on a fine day but a bad place on a wet day.

Tidy Towns

The facilitator will be Nuala Madigan of the Irish Peatland Conservation Council (IPCC).  Nuala will deliver a one hour practical demonstration which will cover the following topics: Composting - getting started ,What can be composted.  How long does the process take?  ,How to use your compost  How to make worm compost ,Tips on making good compost  All are welcome to attend.

St. Brigid`s Hurling Club Notes

Progressive 25There was a very successful progressive 25 in Rochfortbridge Parish Hall on Good Friday night.  Many thanks to everyone who helped.  A very enjoyable night was had by all.  Winners on the night were Mick Hannon and Patsy Egan,  Tony Mitchell and Nora Ryan came second
