Ballynacargy Notes
The Cool Dude Food programme was a great success and everyone enjoyed the week. The course covered topics from the finding out about fabulous fruit and vegetables to fast healthy food.All who participated learned invaluable lessons about the healthy food for life.Ballynacargy Canal FestivalThe Ballynacargy Canal Festival committee is thankful for all the support received so far and would be grateful for any further assistance. The festival take place from 12pm on Sunday August 17th with the arrival of the boats into the harbour at 2pm. Events which have been proposed include (1) The popular duck race (2) A canoe or kayak race along the canal (3) A display of vintage tools and vehicles (4) A teenage disco on the street (5) A live band from the Gig Rig (6) Salmon roasting on the banks of the canal (7) Mouse Racing (8) Face Paining (9) Fancy Dress. A draw will take place on that night for a plasma TV, trailer of turf and numerous other prizes.
