Following a long summer"s golf Louis Cunningham and Brian Brady squared up to Johnny Mullally and Brendan Kehoe. The match was close throughout, although Louis and Brian won three holes in a row to lead by 2 holes standing on the 14th tee. The awful weather intervened, and, with the course virtually unplayable, rain delayed play for almost half an hour. Johnny and Brendan composed themselves to birdie 14 and held this momentum to be crowned Paddy Brady champions on the 18th green. Congratulations to all participants and to the committee who ensured that this competition ran smoothly in 2008.ResultsThurs (Pauric Whelehan): 1st Thomas Rosney (17) - 42pts, 2nd Graham Ross(11) - 39pts, 3rd John Quinn (20) - 38pts, Gross: Louis Cunningham (4) -34pts, Ladies: Maura Igoe (26) - 36pts.Fri (Dairyland Cuisine): 1st Alan Mangan, Barry Conroy, Declan Mullally- 83pts, 2nd Paddy Mullally, Cian Bradley, Jamal Sabir 82pts, 3rd KevinMcNamara, Kevin Maguire, Barry Maguire - 81pts.Sat (Byrne, Carolan, Cunningham): 1st Jimmy Digan/Kit Geoghegan - 42pts,Paul Coughlan/Jamil Sabir - 42pts, 3rd Jimmy Bradley/Cian Bradley -41pts, 4th Paul Fogarty/Paul Gilligan - 40ptsSun (Moate Medical Centre): 1st Ian Flanagan (11) - 45pts, 2nd PatGuinan (17) - 40pts, 3rd Jimmy Dolan (18) - 3pts, Gross: Jamil Sabir(7)- 33pts.
