She was a kind quiet lady who was well liked by everyone who knew her. Aged 93 years, Doris had been predeceased by her husband John some years ago.She reposed at the Chapel of Rest in St. Francis Private Hospital, Mullingar, and was removed to St. Etchens Church, Killucan, on Monday last for Funeral Service and buried in the adjoining cemetery.To her relative and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace.Killucan/Raharney Golden Years ClubSeptember 3rd: The chairperson welcomed back everyone after the summer break. The hall was packed and we had a lot of new members. Martin and Phil, Mary and Nicholas, Sadly we lost two of our members. Sympathy is extended to the Boyle family, and also the Foley family. Other bereavements were the Corcoran and the Gilbride. Our deepest sympathy to their families. May the deceased rest in peace.On a happier note, we celebrated some birthdays, Michael Butler who was ninety years young, and Mary Crowe had a birthday. Valerie went through some exercises with us, she keeps us in shape and we wish to thank her for the beautiful grapes (home grown). As well as new members, there was new helpers Mary and Claire. We thank the Vintage Car Club for the donation of €150 for our club. There was bingo, also our raffle which gets bigger each weeks, thanks to our wonderful members. After a delicious meal, our band, Michael, Liam and Patricia entertained us and the evening ended with singing and dancing.Next day is September 17th.
