Break-in at Ballymore post office
Gardaí are appealing to people around Ballymore who may have noticed anyone who might have been effectively "casing" the local business premises broken into on Thursday night/Friday morning."We're not just talking about people who may have noticed anything that night, but in the days or even weeks running up to it," a Garda spokesperson told the Westmeath Examiner this week. The thieves broke into a local shop/post office, and according to local souces, they immediately disconnected the CCTV system before proceeding to rob the place.Gardaí believe that the culprits may have been checking out the place, which is why they are asking that if anyone remembers noticing anything unusual, they get in contact with the local guards, or with Athlone Garda Station.
