Kilbeggan company applauded at awards
Critical Healthcare, the medical supplies company based in Kilbeggan, has received much deserved recognition in the form of the runner-up prize at the 2009 Westmeath County Enterprise Awards.Headed up by managing director Seamus Reilly the company supplies the 'pre-hospital' market as well as ambulance and emergency care providers. It also manufactures and installs oxygen pipes for ambulances.Founded 10 years ago this year the company has become the industry's watchword in terms of pre and post sales care. This year it also substantially overhauled its services and offers a comprehensive website which is available in 22 languages and payments are accepted in Euros, Sterling and Dollars.The company has gone from strength to strength over the last decade becoming a leading supplier to Ambulance Services in the United Kingdom, Ireland Europe and now reaching into the middle east.Critical Healthcare employs eight people full time and one part time person at their premises in Kilbeggan.Seamus Reilly said that he was "delighted" to have received the award and praised Christine Charlton who heads up the Westmeath County Enterprise Board for her help and support."We have nothing but praise for her and for all the help that we have received," he said. "She has helped us to get on board with Enterprise Ireland and we all looking at expanding our export base to the Middle East. Christine has done fabulous work in nuturing small business in the Midlands."
