Shamrocks launch "Ultimate Classic Show"
Mullingar Shamrocks are launching a night to remember with their "Ultimate Classic Show", which will take place in the Mullingar Arts Centre on March 20. A fine display of local singers will grace the Arts Centre arena to stage a night to remember, with pieces from Les Mis, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady to kick start the first half, while the second half will take on a new twist of the more classical genre, culminating with a Celtic theme. All of the performers on the night will be giving their time free of charge to support the development of the new Juvenile Pitch which will be situated on Shamrock's grounds. Names such as Helen Hasset-Ahern, Mark Irwin, James Larkin, Katie McCarthy, John Smyth, Heather Fogerty, Denis Corroon, Aoife Gavin, Paul Doolin, Emmet Cahill, Maeve Corroon, Fr. Ray Kelly and a special guest appearance from the Celtic Rhythm Dancers will be taking to the stage with live music from a full string quartet. The Celtic Rhythm Dancers are one of the most successful dance troupes in Ireland, having performed on Broadway. With 88 of Ireland's finest dancers, many of them have performed with Riverdance, Lord of the dance and Celtic Tiger. Those with a good appreciation of music and song will be amazed at what this night has to offer. However, as the "Ultimate Classic Show" is for one night only, it is strongly advised to book your seat early so as not to miss out on this magnificent line-up of local talent.
