Homes burgled during Parade

A spate of burglaries took place around Delvin while locals attended Sunday's St. Patrick's parade.Houses at Lisclougher, Mitchelstown, Crowenstown and Bracklyn were ransacked, with amounts of cash and jewellery stolen.In the burglary at Lisclougher, money was taken and Gardaí say a number of youths were seen acting suspiciously locally in a green KE-reg ca.A house at Mitchelstown was targeted between 7am and 3pm the same day. A small amount of jewellery was taken. At Crowenstown between 11.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. a further house was targeted, and also one at Bracklyn.
