Westmeath Camogie BoardLeinster Junior ChampionshipWestmeath 3-11Carlow 0-7After last week's league final defeat the County were in action in the first round of the Leinster Championship versus Carlow and had a good win. The team will now on Sunday 2 May against the winner of Meath and Kildare.Leinster Under 14Westmeath 3-04Meath 2-00The County under 14 team were successful in gaining a place in the Leinster final with a good win over our neighbours Meath. Scorers for Westmeath were Caoimhe Mc Crossan 2-02; Fiona Glynn 1-0; Zoe Nugent 0-01; Rebecca Ennis 0-01;. The Leinster final versus Offaly is next Sunday 25th April in a home venue to be announced.Intermediate LeagueLast weekend was a busy weekend in the Intermediate league. In Division 1 St. Munnas defeated Castletown Geoghegan. In division 2 Clonkill and Delvin shared the points with a draw while Drumraney had a win over Crookedwood. The Intermediate competition takes a break next weekend as the senior and junior championship games are fixed.Under 14 Féile na nGael.Round two of Féile took place at the weekend and the semi finalists were decided. Lough Lene Gaels defeated Clonkill, Castletown Geoghegan lost to Crookedwood, Raharney were winners over Delvin and St. Munnas defeated Brownstown. The Semi-finals will be played on next Friday 23 April and the pairings are Lough Lene Gaels v Raharney; Crookedwood v St. Munnas.Under 16The under 16 camogie championship commenced on Monday 12 April. Crookedwood won their opening game against Clonkill as did Lough Lene Gaels versus Drumraney. The next round of Under 16 games are on Friday 30 April.County Board Meeting.A County Board meeting as held on Tuesday 6 April. Unfortunately not all clubs were represented at the meeting and it is essential that the club delegates attend all meetings. The meeting was informed of the role of the new Regional Development Co-ordinator Jennifer Steede who is available to with assist issues that clubs may have in respect of development of the club.Their was a report from the Annual Camógie Congress that the Development Plan 2010 to 2015 was launched. Clubs should note that this is available to download on the Camógie website www.camogie.ie.
