Youths smash in Kinnegad windows in Halloween rampage

One person was arrested in Kinnegad after a group of youths went on a rampage of breaking windows on Halloween night.A total of five premises were targeted by the youths, who reportedly smashed and kicked in windows as they went. The incidents occurred between 5am and 5.30am. A file will be forward to the Director of Public Prosecutions.Meanwhile, the night previous, four windows of the Supervalu store in Kinnegad were smashed in overnight on Saturday, October 30. Gardaí arrested one person in relation to the incident and a file will be forwarded to the DPP.The vandalism continued throughout the week as two rear tyres of a vehicle was slashed in Grange Village, Mullingar on Friday night last, October 29. While on Tuesday last week, Gardaí attending a call to Patrick Street had a rock thrown at their patrol car.continued on page 4
