One Direction top the US charts

Niall Horan and his One Direction team mates are well on the way to becoming pop royalty after becoming the first British group to debut at number one in the American charts.Up All Night, the band's debut album, has sold more than 200,000 units since it's release last week.The Spice Girls had the previous highest entry.Their debut album entered the Billboard chart at number six when it was released in 1997.For the lpast month, the group have been on a promotional tour in the US and have been greeted by hordes of screaming girls at every event.
