Joseph Kony poster campaign hits Mullingar

A poster was erected in Mullingar over the weekend as part of the campaign to raise awareness of the Ugandan rebel leader, Joseph Kony.The leader of the 'Lord's Resistance Army', Kony's actions in exploiting children, forcing them to become 'soldiers' and to kill and maim others, were exposed by filmmaker Jason Russell, of the group Invisible Children.His film went viral, and called on people worldwide to take action on Friday last, by erecting posters that would bring the issue to wider public attention.Mr Russell says that Kony is "the most wanted man in the world".The Mullingar poster - pictured - was erected on The Green Bridge.
