Joe Dolan Festival launched

The second Joe Dolan Mullingar Festival, which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend (3-5), was launched by the Dolan family in The Greville Arms on Tuesday May 15.The main attractions for Joe's fans will be the The Reunion Show, a production recreating the magic of The Joe Dolan Show with a projected Joe on screen; My Brother Joe, The Story of Joe Dolan in words and music by his brother Ben; and Karen and The Dolans, who will perform throughout the weekend.Karen and The Dolans released their debut album before Christmas and secured a top 10 place in Ireland's Independent Charts.With a more acts to be announced, the line-up is sure to attract numbers to the town.Backed by Fáilte Ireland and Westmeath County Council, the festival will be a mix of concerts, community events and one major street party!More details in the next edition of the Westmeath Examiner.
