Three hundred turn out for psychologist's talk
Queries about subjects as diverse as blushing and bedwetting were raised with clinical psychologist Dr Eddie Murphy during his talk before a crowded auditorium at the Mullingar Arts Centre on Tuesday night.
It was an informative evening – and attracted a crowd of around 300, prompting Sarah McCormack of the organizing group, North Westmeath Positive Mental Health, to state that with more members, the group could organize more events of this nature for the town.
All were delighted with the talk by Dr Murphy, who is well known through his work on the RTE Operation Transformation programme.
At present, the members of North Westmeath Positive Mental Health group are Sarah, who is from the Mullingar Soroptimists, together with Deputy Robert Troy, Mary Kerrigan, also of Soroptimists, Josephine Rigney, of HSE, Anna Maher of Living Links, and David Russell of the Lions Club.
To join the group, contact Deputy Troy or any of the members of the group.
