Tuesday is news day

Tuesday is news day! Starting next week, on Tuesday April 30, your favourite newspaper will be available on the shelves on Tuesday mornings.

The Westmeath Examiner has a long and proud tradition of providing the news to Mullingar and north Westmeath, going back to 1882 in fact, and now we are aiming to be first with the news every week.

We look forward to providing our readers with the same depth and quality of news and sport coverage plus features and photos, that we have always provided, and to introducing some new features that we hope you will enjoy.

We also welcome any suggestions you have for the paper and we will do our best to incorporate them in future editions – email editor@westmeathexaminer.ie if you have anything you would like us to consider.

The new deadlines for submissions are 5pm on Sundays for district notes (later on Sunday night for sports contributors) and noon on Mondays for advertising.
