Church to offer live streaming of Fr Nulty's episcopal ordination

The church is going high tech, with plans for live streaming of the former Mullingar curate who is to be ordained Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin on August 4.

Fr Denis Nulty, who spent some years in Mullingar before transferring as parish priest of St Mary's parish in Drogheda, remains a popular figure in Mullingar, and is fondly remembered in the town.

Mullingar parish has begun a Novena of prayer to accompany Fr Nulty as he prepares for his new ministry.   For each of these nine days, a prayer composed for the occasion will be recited at all Masses.

The new Bishop has accepted an invitation to return to Mullingar for the celebration of the Feast of Christ the King on 24 November.
