Trolley pull for the IRVA
Tomorrow, Thursday October 24, five members of 2 Artillery Regiment will pull with drag ropes a hospital trolley and full body mannequin for 34.4 miles from Custume Barracks, Athlone to Mullingar, where the IRVA bench and tree in memory of road traffic victims and their families and friends all over Ireland is planted at Belvedere House and Gardens.
Most of us have lost family, friends and colleagues through road traffic accidents, or know someone who has, and the aim of this march is to raise awareness and funds for IRVA.
You can support Peter Scally, Alan Graham, Lloyd Murphy, Fergal McLoughlin and Noel O’Callaghan, who will drag the trolley the 34.4 miles, by donating, joining IRVA or just by saying ‘stop’ to those who do not obey the rules of the road.
The march will be in honour and remembrance of lives lost and injured, and of those left behind who have to deal with the carnage every day of their lives.
