Mullingar duo headed for Croke Park

Sixteen-year-old Michaela Hogg and Shane Bardon have won TG4's Scór Encore!

The Mullingar duo took the title on Tuesday night and now go forward to play live in front of 80,000 people at this year's All Ireland final in Croke Park.

Michaela, a St Finian's College student who will sit her Leaving Certificate this year, has been taking part in Scór with Mullingar Shamrock's since she was just nine years old.

Shane, a music college student and also a past pupil of St Finian's, accompanied Michaela who performed a traditional Sean Nós song Fair Thee Well Lovely Mary, with a modern twist.

The two also perform in a band called The Roadrunners and will appear on stage at the Mullingar Arts Centre in April for the Student Players production of Les Misérables.
