Mullingar jobs safe as Elverys Sports are here to stay

The ten people employed at Elverys Sports in Lakepoint, Mullingar, are celebrating today with the news that the management buyout of the store is complete.

Local manager David Bryan was informed early this morning that the deal was signed.

Managing director, Patrick Rowland had attempted the buyout after Elverys was put under examinership in February, and this was swiftly followed by a staff-led campaign in support of the deal which they believed was the best way to secure the 700 jobs nationwide.
