Scan reveals both John Joe's legs are fractured

 Boxer John Joe Nevin appears to have sustained more serious injuries that first feared. The Westmeath Examiner has learned that a scan of his left leg taken on Tuesday morning has revealed it too is fractured.

It is understood that Nevin received the results of a scan and has a break in his left leg as well as his right.

It appears likely that the Olympic silver medallist will need to use a wheelchair while he is recuperating.
