Three local farmers shortlisted for award

Colin Crowe from Delvin and Gordon and Yvonne Johnston from Tyrellspass have been nominated for Farmer of the Year Awards.

All three are shortlisted in the sheep category of the inaugural Zurich Farming Independent Farmer of the Year Awards.

Finalists were chosen having been nominated by fellow farmers and peers, with all of those shortlisted in the running to receive €2,500 and, if awarded overall ‘Grand Prix’ winner, a possible additional prize to the value of €5,000.

The overall winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in Dublin on Friday May 9.
