It's The Real McCoy opens in the Mullingar Arts Centre
Mullingar Arts Centre is to play host to this hildarious play - Its The Real McCoy - on Friday and Saturday, May 9 - 10.
Set in rural Ireland in 1964, the kitchen of Madge Molloy who has lived over 40 years of her life wondering why her husband Tom vanished within five months of their marriage, is the setting for this side-splitting comedy.
Madge has had to rear her only daughter Maura on her own and needless to say she has become bitter about men in general!
However, the arrival of a new curate to the parish, namely Fr Michael McCoy, is about to throw light on the circumstances surrounding Tom’s mysterious disappearance and what unfolds on stage has to be seen to be believed!
With Ireland’s two nosiest neighbours, a gormless postman who has fallen in love with Madge’s daughter, a nervous curate and an even more nervous husband, this play is packed with hilarious one-liners, a gripping storyline and an ending that will have audiences guessing right up to its final moments.
Its The Real McCoy comes to the Mullingar for two nights on May 9 and 10. Tickets for the Real McCoy are € 18/16 and are available from the Mullingar Arts Centre by phoning 044-934-7777.
