Two from North Westmeath die in separate road tragedies
A 20 year old motorcyclist from Bracklyn, died today in a collision at Tullaghanstown, Co Meath, between Navan and Athboy - less than 24 hours after a Delvin woman lost her life as a result of another accident, also in Co Meath.
According to gardaí, the young man's motorbike was in collision with a tractor and trailer at around 3.30 pm this afternoon.
The young man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his remains were brought to Navan Hospital.
Yesterday evening, the woman who died, was involved in a two-car crash on the Athboy Road in Navan, at 6.50 pm.
The dead woman, who was in her 60s, was the driver of one of the cars and was taken from the scene by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, suffering from a serious leg injury.
She died from her injuries in the early hours of this morning, the 23rd May.
