Dance into the longest day of the year with Annaly Céili Band
With midsummer this weekend, Áras an Mhuilinn, the Midlands Regional Comhaltas Centre, is inviting you to dance your way into the longest day with the Annaly Céili Band by coming to a céili today Friday 20 June (9.30pm-12.30am).
That is just one of the events at the centre, and as well as set dancing (Mondays 7.30pm) and sean nós dancing (Tuesdays 7.30pm) there is the Ramblin’ House session on the last Friday of every month in Dun na Sí Moate and the Ballynacargy Comhaltas branch are hosting a Midsummer Trad Fest from Friday 27 June to Sunday 29, with workshops, concerts and sessions.
The new series of Seisiún an tSamhraidh begins with the first show in Áras an Mhuilinn on Wednesday July 2 at 8.30pm. A great night of traditional entertainment – music, song, dance and storytelling is assured. Summer shows continue every Wednesday night in July and on August 6 and 20. Dun na Sí in Moate will host the Seisiún an tSamhraidh/Summer Shows on Sundays at 8pm starting on July 6 and continuing through the month.
