Minister michael ring very impressed with robinstown sports campus proposal
At the official opening of the Mullingar Skate Park today, Thursday, Mininster Michael Ring said he was "very impressed" with the proposals for the Robinstown Sports Campus.
While not committing himself to any funding, the Minister for Transport, Sport and Tourism said he will assist Westmeath County Council in any way he can to see the plans come to fruition.
"I had delegation today and they have a major proposal for a regional scheme and I’m not committing myself to any money but what I will say is that I will assist them and help them in any way I can," Minister Ring told the Westmeath Examiner.
“I want to see regional facilities. The proposals they had, they are going to scale them down.
"The second thing is they’re going to look at it on a phased basis and that’s the way to do that.
"I’m very impressed with the proposal. What I like is that it’s being led by the local authority which is very important," finished the Minister.
Minister Ring is now on his way to Multyfarnham to officially open the Community Centre there.
