Garda appeal for information following suspected attempted abduction of teenage boy

Following an incident in Tyrrellspass yesterday, Tuesday, gardaí have appealed for information.

According to a garda report, a 13-year-old boy on his way to school yesterday morning, was approached by a man driving a silver saloon car.

Initially the driver asked the boy for directions before subsequently asking him to get into the car.

The child refused and the man drove off at speed.

He has been described as dark skinned and aged in his forties.
