Westmeaths fittest company

A note from Maurice Looby Fitness ahead of Westmeath’s Fittest Company tomorrow:

“As if the competition is not challenging enough the sun has decided to take a break for tomorrow. There is rain showers forecast so come prepared.

“There is no such thing as bad weather just bad attire! Don’t let the weather dampen your spirits!

“You’ve worked hard for this and have come out to train in worse weather. It’s due to brighten up in the afternoon. A positive mental attitude and a resolve to be the best you can be will go a long way! We will have fun!

“There’s always later in the Greville Arms to reward ourselves after all the hard work is done.

“Let’s all make one last effort to ensure you get the crowd to come out and support you tomorrow! Please share the event day poster on social media and invite your family, friends and work colleagues along to cheer you on.

“For those of you travelling up from Athlone, you can use the showers in the Army Barracks afterwards.

“Whelehans Pharmacy of Mullingar have donated two goodie bags per team. They can be picked up at registration. You will need to hand in your sponsorship and sign in for 11am.

“Please be there on time as we want to get started for 12 sharp so that we get finished up on schedule.

“Best of luck tomorrow and thank you all for taking part!"
