Ifa offers 10000 in bid to recover stolen kilbeggan livestock

Westmeath IFA has contacted the Dillon family of Kilbeggan, to volunteer a €10,000 reward to help in the bid to recover the 100 livestock stolen from their farm on Wednesday.
Niall Dillon said that Westmeath IFA chairman, Kenneth Bray, phoned him today, Saturday, to tell him that the money was available for "significant information" that leads to the recovery of the 75 cattle and 25 sheep cleared from Niall and Christa Dillon's rented farm at Cornaher, between Kilbeggan and Tyrrellspass.
The livestock was taken some time between 9 pm on Wednesday night and 1.15 pm on Thursday, and the discovery has left the couple devastated.
The sheep are newly shorn, and the cattle consist of a mix of cows and calves, of varying breed.
