New intreo centre set to open

The Department of Social Protection’s new Intreo Centre at Blackhall, Mullingar, will be opening to the public on Monday August 10.

In order to facilitate this opening, the Department’s offices in Bellview on the Dublin Road were temporarily closed on Thursday  and Friday August 6 and 7.

The Department’s offices at Church Avenue, Mullingar will be closed completely from Thursday.

Intreo is a new service from the Department of Social Protection providing practical, tailored employment services for job seekers and employers alike.

Intreo services will be delivered from Blackhall and Bellview as follows: Blackhall will see Income support payments and Employment Support Services which were formerly processed at Church Avenue.

Meanwhile, at the Bellview office, the Community Welfare Service will be available there from late August.

The office will also house Social Welfare Inspectors.
