Collinstown school to get extension
There’s good news for St Mary’s NS in Collinstown, as it has been awarded funding for additional accommodation.
“This was badly needed, and it is welcome news,” said Cllr Frank McDermott this week as he and Minister Damien English TD, Minister for Skills, Research and Innovation, announced the development.
The additional accommodation to be constructed at the school is to comprise a mainstream classroom with en-suite toilets together with toilet facilities for assisted users.
“The School Board of Management has been notified of the grant sanction and we commend them on their voluntary work in running the school, as well as the work of Principal Proinsias ” Fearghail,” said a statement issued by the two party colleagues.
“We wish St Mary’s NS well with their new project.”
