Weather is set fair for the weekend
After experiencing some welcome late summer sun in recent days, the midlands is expected to stay mainly dry over the coming days.
The mercury was certainly moving in the right direction on Wednesday and Thursday with the Mullingar area being pinpointed as one of the warmest spots in the country on Wednesday registering a very pleasant 23 degrees Celsius.
The coming days however, are unlikely to match those highs but forecasters are predicting that it should stay reasonably dry everywhere, with just a slight risk of isolated showers, mainly affecting the south and south west of the country.
Thereafter, Met Eireann are suggesting a return to more unsettled weather with heavy rain approaching the west coast by midweek. For the moment though we’ll stick with the creams, sun cream and ice cream!
