Meath Rose, Elysha Brennan

Meath rose massive mover and now 103 to bloom in tralee

The Rose Of Tralee takes place on Monday and Tuesday and BoyleSports can report that it’s the Meath Rose that has seen a surge of support throughout the weekend which has seen her price plummet and challenge current favourite New York Rose, Sophie Colgan for favouritism.

Elysha Brennan, a second year medical student in the Royal College of Surgeons Dublin, was initially installed at 20/1 but is now 10/3 and challenging for favouritism following an avalanche of bets placed across the weekend on the 22 year old.

The Louth Rose had been subject to support earlier in the month but has been eased slightly to 9/1 from 8/1 as a result of the support for the Meath Rose whilst the Kerry Rose, Julette Culotty, can be backed at 12/1 to keep the title in The Kingdom.

Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson said: “The money has come flooding in for the Meath Rose across the weekend and we expect her to challenge for favouritism sooner rather than later. Having been initially installed at 20/1 to win, Elysha Brennan now poses a five figure liability if she manages to take the crown in Tralee.”

He added “The activity in the Rose Of Tralee market has been our busiest to date with many of the Roses seeing support since we priced it up early in July. It’s now the Meath Rose that punters want and if she manages to win we are set to get pricked financially by the Roses’ thorns.”
