Bressie in eason mullingar tomorrow

 “The book is all about how important it is to invest in your mind. Most people in Ireland do nothing to nurture their minds. We need to come up with preventative measures for when those shit days come.”

Those are the words of Niall Breslin, fondly known to us all as Bressie, who is of course talking about his new book 'Me and My Mate Jeffrey’, the Mullingar man’s honest, down-to-earth and compelling account of his journey with depression, anxiety and learning to live with 'Jeffrey’.

Ahead of his book signing in Eason Mullingar tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, at 6.30pm, we talk to The Voice of Ireland mentor about how he learned to cope with the monkey on his back, which he now calls “Jeffrey” and which he believes ultimately ruined his burgeoning rugby career all those years ago.
