Temperatures to reach 17°C this week
Temperatures could reach 17 degrees tomorrow, according to Met Éireann.
That sounds like summer! Seriously, it does, because the average temperature in Ireland in July is 16°C.
Today, Tuesday, we can expect mostly dry weather, with just a few spots of drizzle, say the official forecasters.
They’re expecting top temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees and light breezes.
The outlook, according to Met Éireann is:
Wednesday night: A dry, clear night. Rather cool but no significant frost. Air minima of 2 to 7 degrees. Some fog patches developing in near calm conditions.
Thursday: Another dry and sunny day for Ulster, Connacht and most of Leinster with temperatures in the mid-teens in light to moderate easterly winds. Cloudy over much of Munster and the southeast of Leinster with temperatures in the low teens in fresh easterly winds. Still generally dry but some patchy rain is possible especially over parts of Cork and Kerry. Thursday night frost free.
Friday: There is a possibility of some rain over southern parts of Munster and Leinster and dry weather continuing elsewhere with just a little patchy rain about. Temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh easterly winds; warmest in the west and northwest.
This weekend and early next week: Becoming cold again with northerly winds feeding down a mixture of sunshine and wintry showers. Daytime temperatures falling back to only 10 degrees (or less) and night-time frosts returning.
