Man due in Mullingar court over alleged Cloughan drugs find

A 20-year-old man is due in Mullingar district court this morning in connection with the seizure of €42,000 worth of what is believed to have been cannabis herb in Cloughan.

The female arrested with him was released without charge and a file is being preferred for the DPP.

Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit, Mullingar seized the drugs following the search of a car that they had stopped on the N52 at Cloghan on Tuesday at approximately 5pm.

Gardaí also seized an amount of cash that was located in the car during the search.
