Two die in Hiskinstown accident

Gardaí are investigating a collision in which two people died, and which occurred at Hiskinstown, Delvin, yesterday at approximately 3.30pm.

The accident involved two cars and a lorry.

A female passenger in the one of the cars (38 years) was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female (25) was pronounced dead at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar yesterday evening as a result of injuries received in the collision. She was the driver of one of the cars.

The female driver of the second car (only occupant) was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital in a serious condition.

The male truck driver was uninjured.
