Commuter chaos as trains come to a standstill
Commuters in Mullingar were hit by a second blow this morning as Irish Rail became entangled in the Bus Éireann strike.
Workers commenced secondary picketing on depots associated with Bus Éireann early this morning.
Dublin Bus is also affected.
Dermot O'Leary, the general secretary of the NBRU, has called for the secondary pickets to stop and said he had no prior warning of the move, and does not condone unoffical picketing.
The Bus Éireann strike is now in it's eight day and shows no sign of stopping.
Minister for Transport Shane Ross is still refusing to get involved in the dispute and has urged both sides to begin talks.
