Westmeath in weather warning

Westmeathhas been included in the very latest Status Yellow rainfall warningresulting from the expected arrival of the downgraded Hurricane Gert.Up to 5cm of rainfall is expected over a large part ot the country,particularly the northern half and in Leinster.

TheMet Eireann warning came into effect at midday today (Monday) andwill last until 4pm tomorrow.

Thoughgreatly reduced in its intensity, Gert is set to bring warm, humidconditions with heavy rainfall, affecting many counties, includingWestmeath.
