Mary McEvoy to launch TEAM fundraising campaign
TEAM are about to launch their fundraising project for summer 2018 and they have asked special guest Mary McEvoy to do the honours.
Tickets will be raffled off to win a prize of a €10k farm quad bike and the launch of the fundraising campaign takes place this Friday July 13 in the Annebrook House Hotel at 7pm.
TEAM provides safe and secure housing for homeless women and children, from counties Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath and all funds raised go to providing an 11 unit hostel called Teach Fáilte in Mullingar.
TEAM was founded by a group of people from Mullingar who had the vision to identify the need for a space where homeless women and children could feel safe and secure.
Since Teach Fáilte opened in Mullingar in 2009, over 600 women and in excess of 600 children have passed through the doors, and the demand for services is stronger than ever.
The downturn in the economy and the housing crisis contributed directly to this growth in demand, leaving many people homeless and in need of our services.
The launch of the fundraising project will be held on Friday July 13 at 7pm in The Annebrook Hotel Mullingar. The draw for the quad bike will take place on October 1.
