'We will refill' vow students as they ban plastic bottles
Students at a Mullingar primary school have committed this week to stop using disposable plastics drinks bottles and instead to use reusable bottles.
“We will, we will refill!” sung to the air of the Queen anthem “We will rock you” was the chant that filled the air at the Climate Action Day hosted by Mullingar's Educate Together National School (ETNS) on Thursday.
At the event, the school's “Green Committee” announced that it the school is joining the Ban the Bottle movement which encourages people to discontinue buying and using single-use disposable drinks bottles.
Carambola the company that provides the school with free school lunches sponsored the provision of a refillable/ reusable water bottle.
