Modern life is hard for singles but Rita can help you find love
“It’s hard for single people today, as the social scene has changed and people don’t know where to go to meet other single people.
When out in late bars or clubs, people don’t know who is single and who isn’t and people don’t talk to each other in bars any more.
That’s according to Rita Walsh at Singles Mingles Events, who has found that some people coming back out of a relationship or marriage find they do not have anybody to go out with, and so feel isolated.
If you are someone who can relate to this, she says, Singles Mingles Events are for you.
“We set these events up three years ago for all of the reasons above and to cater for the single people in country areas of Ireland,” said Rita.
“Singles Mingle events are relaxed and fun. It’s a place where you can come to on your own and feel at ease in knowing that you will be introduced to others who have also attended alone.
“It’s a place where you will make new friends or meet that special someone, a place where you can mix with lots of other single people of your age and have a great night of chat dance and fun.”
Rita insists there is no pressure to meet anyone at the events.
“First and foremost it’s about have an enjoyable night with lots of other single people,” she said.
“The added bonus is the hard work is done for you, because when you enter these events, you know that everybody there is single and also hoping to meet someone special for the long term.
“For single people this is huge.”
Varied programme
“We run different types of single events, from speed dating with music and dance, to country dance nights, weekends away and lots more,” Rita continues, before going on to explain that key to the success of the Singles Mingles Events is the format employed to get things moving.
They start with speed dating – an established dating concept where the ladies all sit at individual tables and the men move from table to table chatting at ease for a set amount of minutes.
This ensures that everyone gets an opportunity to speak to each other at the beginning of the night – which in turn gives people a little idea of what that person is like.
Because of this, there is a huge success rate at these events.
When the speed dating is over, the night moves to music chat and dance, where everyone gets lots more opportunity to chat and dance with anyone who has taken their interest.
