We could be in for some serious storm force winds this Friday
Friday could the arrival of storm force gales with gusts reaching a possible 120km, according to MetAlert.
MetAlert Ireland is stating that a "weather watch for strong gales with potential for storm like conditions on Friday."
This is a watch and "not" an alert or warning.
Early indications suggest gusts of 90kmh to 120kmh with a risk of this extending into Saturday morning hours.
"We will issue an update tomorrow evening and if required move to an alert or warning if necessary."

Met Alert gave its prediction a Confidence score of 70%.
Currently Met Eireann is forecasting Friday will be a windy day with a spell of persistent and at times heavy rain later clearing to scattered showers.
Top temperatures 9 to 11 degrees in strong to very strong and gusty south to southwest winds.
Friday night will see widespread blustery showers, merging into longer spells of rain in the west and north.
Lowest temperatures staying around 4 and 7 degrees in strong to very strong southwest to westerly winds.
