Dempsey records ‘solid result' in first F3 Asian race
Jordan Dempsey said he was satisfied with the “solid result” he picked up on his first weekend in the F3 Asian Championship and he’s looking forward to the next meeting.
At the Sepang International Circuit, he qualified in eighth position for both races in what is an FIA certified series, after posting quickest times in testing earlier in the week.
Jordan said: “We were comfortable enough before we bedded in brake pads and discs for qualifying, and discovered a problem under braking.
“We were too far in to change them, so that set the tone for the weekend and we were stuck qualifying eighth and finishing 10th, ninth and ninth in the three races.
“I’m happy though, because I got solid points considering the problems and we worked well as a team – on to the next one.”
Jordan, with CJJ Motorsports and Pinnacle Motorsport, travels to Buriram Thailand for the next rounds of the series on May 11 and 12.
