Catherine Lundon was in top 10 at Fairyhouse
Mullingar woman, Catherine Lundon, was delighted to be chosen as one of the top 10 in The Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady competition at Fairyhouse on Monday April 22.
Beating off stiff competition from a contingent of Ireland's most stylish ladies, Catherine and her fellow finalists were announced in front of a huge crowd in the main marquee at the €500,000 Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse Racecourse.
Catherine’s chic white outfit included a pop of colour on her beautiful Manhattan Vintage Fair coat, which really helped her stand out from the crowd. She wore an elegant Michael Mullins head piece, and her shoes and handbag were from Dune.
Catherine caught the eye of The Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady competition judging panel, which included singer-songwriter, Una Healy, executive producer of Xpose, Debbie O’Donnell, and Gráinne Ross, managing director of Dunboyne Castle, who chose the most stylish lady top 10 based on their interpretation of this year’s theme, Country Chic.
Unfortunately Catherine was pipped at the post by overall winner, Paula Gannon, who wore a floral suit from Hobbs, handmade her headpiece, bought her shoes in Dunnes Stores which she added accessories to, and her bag was from Coast.
Commenting on the Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady, Una Healy said: The judges and I had a really difficult decision choosing from the final ten ladies. The standard of style today was really high and the good weather brought out some great colour and headpieces, which was great to see. Catherine’s style really stood out for its glamour and elegance.
Adding to this, Gráinne Ross, managing director of Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, said: Dunboyne Castle’s first year sponsorship of the Most Stylish Lady at Fairyhouse was a great success. We want to thank all of the ladies who entered, they brought a real sense of occasion to the day.
An exciting day in the racing and style calendar, the €500,000 Boylesports Irish Grand National and Most Stylish Lady officially kicks off the racing and style season. The historic racing festival attracts over 25,000 people over three days, and the Most Stylish Lady competition on Easter Monday is the main off-track attraction.
