Mullingar town band party with centra
Mullingar town Band were the proud winners of a party food package offered by O’Briens Centra, Mullingar, in conjunction with the Westmeath Examiner. Jane slevin, Mullingar town Band committee member and band parent, entered the competition on behalf of the band, which was run on the Westmeath Examiner’s Facebook page, telling why she felt the Celtic Crusaders were the deserving winners.
O’Briens offered the prize to celebrate their extensive deli range and the arrival of their new local delivery service. Clarke’s Bar kindly gave the use of their outdoor party section to the members of the band, who twice a year hold a party to recognise members’ hard work throughout the season.
“We had a great evening in Clarke’s outdoor section, which is perfect for celebrations like this, as we had organised some great games for the younger members,” said band director Kim Magee. “We’d like to say thanks to Kieran Clarke and to O’Briens Centre for this fabulous prize, which really made the evening a fantastic celebration of what the band has achieved throughout the year.”
