Indian Ambassador to Ireland visits Mullingar

The Indian ambassador to Ireland was in Mullingar last month as part of the Indian Embassy’s provincial outreach programme.

Sandeep Kumar visited the Irish Manufacturing Research Lab at the National Science Park on the Dublin Road, and also met representatives from the county council and chamber of commerce.

The Indian Embassy’s provincial outreach programme aims to strengthen the relationship between India and various counties in Ireland.

The embassy intends to promote Westmeath and Mullingar as an attractive destination for Indian businesses wishing to invest abroad, and the location – less than an hour’s drive from Dublin – is among the selling points.

While in Mullingar, the ambassador also met representatives of National Science Park based firms IDASO and Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR).
