Evidence of paranormal caught on camera in arts centre

A group of paranormal investigators have captured evidence of ghostly goings on at Mullingar Arts Centre.

Back In Time Paranormal Investigators have carried out investigations in some of the most haunted locations across Ireland, Loftus Hall in County Wexford, Leap Castle in Offaly, and Ross Castle in Meath to name a few.

Earlier this year, after hearing that Mullingar Arts Centre was a hotbed of paranormal activity from those who have taken part in productions there over the years, the team spent two nights investigating.

Investigators reported seeing lights and hearing bumps and bangs.

"Some rooms we were not welcome in. They were uncomfortable and you could feel yourself being watched," says Michelle Connolly of Back In Time Paranormal Investigators.

She says a shadow was seen by three members of the team in the same spot by a door.

"It travelled back and forth at different stages throughout the night. And when we asked for communication, one team member was pushed."

A motion sensor camera picked up a "spirit" sitting in the auditorium.

Footage captured by the investigators shows the spectre, appearing as a stick figure on their equipment, but to the naked eye no one is there.

Later, a member of the team, Niamh Farrell from Coralstown, sits beside where the ghost appears on camera.

"The piece of equipment we use maps out figures in a type of 'stick man' image. We had the camera trained on a figure sitting in the auditorium for a long time, then I sat down next to it.

"In the footage, you can see two stick figures on the motion sensor, but in actuality there is only one visible to the naked eye," explains Niamh.
