The Mercy Secondary School Kilbeggan, Parents Association are having their fundraising tractor run on Sunday April 5, this year, starting from the site of the new secondary school on the Dublin Road.
All new and vintage tractors are welcome at a fee of €25.
Registration is from 11am, giving everyone a chance to look over the variety of vehicles, makes, models and colours on show.
Every vehicle registered will get a commemorative tractor sticker to display and the drivers will get a bite to eat to keep them going.
The run will start at 12.30pm and the 20km route is from the new secondary school site, and then west towards Kilbeggan.
A left turn takes the drivers to Harbour Road, passing St James’s church, on to Rahugh and then Tyrrellspass.
Turning left at Tyrrellspass church; the old Dublin Galway road will provide a straight drive back to Kilbeggan.
On return, there will be refreshments in the school canteen and a free raffle for all participants, followed by a ‘Monster Auction’.
So hail, rain or shine, come down to the tractor run in Kilbeggan on Sunday 5 April.
