Mullingar at top of Trolley Watch list today

The Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar is at the top of the Trolley Watch list this week.

According to the survey conducted daily by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 16 patients on trolleys in Mullingar today.

All 16 are in the Emergency Department.

The figure for the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore is zero.

The next highest number today is 15, at Cork University Hospital.

The number of patients on trolleys in University Hospital Limerick today is 17 - 12 in the Emergency Department, five on other wards.

The national total today is 106, 97 on Emergency Department.

Two of those patients are younger than 16.
