‘Where Is My Mind’ returns exclusively to Spotify

Spotify has announced the return of Niall Breslin’s critically acclaimed podcast, Where Is My Mind, which will launches today, Monday June 22.

Building on the success of season one, which was at the top of the charts for weeks after its release, and had sold-out multimedia live shows in Dublin and LA, season two captures the spirit of the times in the wake of Covid-19 as people re-examine their values.

It explores how the things that can help us live a happier, richer life are often under our noses, and how mindfulness can unlock their power to change our worlds.

In each episode mindfulness expert and musician Niall Breslin welcomes different guests including Ryan Tubridy, Marian Keyes (author), Roisin Conaty (comedian) to explore what brings meaning to our lives and enriches the human spirit – from nature, to laughter, to music, to love.

Bressie said: “I’m delighted to partner with Spotify for season 2 of Where is My Mind. Spotify has given me the opportunity and a global platform to release a really exciting, boundary-pushing podcast that tests the limits of the genre.

“We operate in a culture that rewards only doing, pushing harder, working more, training more, and being more.

“There’s no room for simply being.

“We are all chasing some moment of enlightenment, that thing that will finally make sense of the world, that will finally make us happy. When so often, happiness is right under our noses.

“I want people to come on this journey with me, as we look at how we can slow the hell down and rewire our brains with the power of what’s right in front of us.”

Season 2 also brings with it the ‘Lockdown Ukulele Rockdown’ band, which has been featured on BBC and RTÉ.

Niall and friends have purchased and distributed more than 350 ukuleles to people who were ‘cocooning’ during the lockdown, and have taught them how to play.

In preparation for the episode exploring the power of music, they have been learning to play Edward Sharp’s track ‘Home.’

The track was recorded and will go live, along with a remotely recorded music video with self-shot and drone footage of the ukulele players to coincide with the episode.

The track features budding and professional musicians, over-70s choir singers and Niall’s band ‘The Blizzards’ as well as some guest Irish talent.

Season one of Where Is My Mind has been nominated for a The Creativity Award as part of the British Podcast Awards in July.

It is also up for a Listener’s Choice award, which is a public vote.

Niall is also host of the Wake Up, Wind Down series, a twice daily podcast as part of the successful Spotify Daily Wellness playlist.

Season 2 of Where Is My Mind will be released weekly on Mondays on Spotify.
